Ms. SLOTKIN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by her to the bill H.R. 6644, a bill to increase the supply of housing in America, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. ___. EXPANSION OF DEFENSE PRODUCTION ACT OF 1950 TO ADDRESS HOUSING. The Defense Production Act of 1950 (50 U.S.C. 4501 et seq.) is amended-- (1) in section 2(a)(5) (50 U.S.C. 4502(a)(5)), by inserting ``and residential construction and rehabilitation'' after ``domestic energy''; and (2) in section 702(14) (50 U.S.C. 4552(14)), by inserting ``, housing,'' after ``programs for military''. ______
