Since being sworn in on January 3, Rep. McBride has made clear that her focus is on <strong>results, not rhetoric</strong>, working across the aisle to deliver for Delawareans while standing firm against the worst excesses of the Trump Administration.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>“I promised I’d work with anyone who’s willing to work with me to deliver for Delawareans—and that’s exactly what I’ve done,” said Rep. McBride. “From restoring funding for manufacturing to standing up for seniors and caregivers, I’ve been focused on building a government that works for the people of Delaware.”</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>In just her first 100 days, Rep. McBride has:</strong></span></p><ul type="disc"><li><span>Introduced two bipartisan bills that would address scammers and the cost of eggs for Delawareans.</span></li><li><span>Helped to introduce two bills to address manufacturing funding and sanctions against an Iranian-backed terrorist group.</span></li><li><span>Restored federal funding for Delaware manufacturers and stood up to the Trump administration for ripping promised funds from other critical programs serving Delawareans.</span></li><li><span>Co-sponsored more than 120 bills, including 75 bipartisan bills and 24 led by Republicans.</span></li><li><span>Joined her colleagues in sending over 100 letters, demanding answers from the Trump Administration on policies that harm Delawareans.</span></li><li><span>Helped 296 Delawareans with casework yielding over $360,000 returned to constituents.</span></li><li><span>Traveled more than 3,000 miles across the state, visiting constituents in Seaford, Newark, Magnolia, Rehoboth, and beyond.</span></li></ul><hr><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Delivering for Delaware:</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Restored federal funding for the Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership (DEMEP)</strong> after the Trump Administration attempted to eliminate it—protecting 423 manufacturing jobs and $77.5M in economic activity.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Introduced the bipartisan Ending Scam Credit Repair Act (ESCRA) to crack down on scammers</strong> in the so-called “credit repair” industry.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Introduced the bipartisan SAVE Our Poultry Act</strong>, focused on combating avian flu and bringing down costs for families at the grocery store and farmers after hearing directly from Delaware farmer Mike Puglisi.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Defended Social Security</strong>, co-sponsoring legislation to protect beneficiary and legislation to block field office closures and prevent staffing cuts that threaten benefits for over <strong>241,000 Delawareans.</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Voted against the Republican budget proposal</strong>, which would slash <strong>Medicaid</strong> and weaken services that roughly 1 in 4 <strong>Delawareans</strong> rely on.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Fighting back against efforts to defund public health</strong>, including Trump Administration attempts to pull <strong>$38 million in disease prevention and overdose response funding</strong> from Delaware.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Opposing attempts to dismantle the Institute of Museum and Library Services</strong>, which supports Delaware’s <strong>33 public libraries </strong>with $1.39 million in grant funding.</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>✅ <strong>Led calls to exempt essential childcare necessities</strong> like car seats and cribs from Trump’s new tariffs, warning of added costs for working families.&nbsp;</span></p><hr><p class="MsoNormal"><span><strong>Serving Delawareans:</strong></span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Rep. McBride’s constituent advocate team has opened over 296 constituent casework requests in their first 100 days. They have already returned $360,000 to constituents from federal agencies.&nbsp;</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Monthly, the constituent advocate team sends a casework survey to all constituents that have recently closed cases. In all of this work, they have maintained a 100% satisfaction rate from constituents.
