CONGRATULATING RABUN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TEAM

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 50 (Thursday, March 19, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 50 (Thursday, March 19, 2026)] [House] [Page H2607] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] CONGRATULATING RABUN COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TEAM (Mr. CLYDE asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. CLYDE. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to congratulate the 2026 Georgia High School Association Class A Division 1 champions, the Rabun County High School Wildcats basketball team. Last Friday, the Wildcats soundly defeated the Southwest Macon Patriots 52-43, leading the team to secure their first-ever State championship in program history and just the second for any team sport at Rabun County High. This Wildcats squad put on an impressive performance all season long, boasting an incredible 30-2 record. Led by Coach David Adcock, these young men have made Rabun County and the entire Ninth District proud through their undeniable talent, grit, and sportsmanship. Congratulations to Coach Adcock and the entire team on clinching an exciting, impressive, and historic State championship. Go Wildcats. ____________________
