Congresswoman Lee has the honor of nominating a select few students to four of the five prestigious service academies.</p><p>Four of the five U.S. service Academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The only academy who does not require a congressional appointment is the Coast Guard Academy.</p><p>To begin the nomination process, you should&nbsp;<em><strong>first apply directly to the service academy you wish to attend</strong></em>. You should then apply for all the nominations that you may be eligible for including, but not limited to, your elected representatives in Congress (<a href="https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative"><strong><u>check your member of Congress here</u></strong></a>), your two Senators, and the Vice President of the United States.</p><p>To be considered for a congressional nomination from Congresswoman Lee, you must complete the following by&nbsp;<strong>11:59 p.m. (EST) on October 31, 2025.</strong></p><ol><li>Email an essay about your desire to attend an Academy (minimum of 500 words) to <strong>PA12SAN@mail.house.gov.</strong></li><li>Email an appropriate recent photograph of yourself.</li><li>Include in the email an official transcript for any high schools, junior colleges, and colleges you have attended. All high school transcripts must include your final junior year grades. Note: if your school does not issue official transcripts to the students, your school may submit them directly to my office at <strong>PA12SAN@mail.house.gov.</strong></li><li>Make sure to include official SAT or ACT scores.</li><li>Lastly include three letters of recommendations from individuals who know you well. One teacher; none can be from a family member.</li></ol><p>All application materials must be submitted by&nbsp;<strong>11:59 p.m. EST on October 31, 2025</strong>. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. If you are unable to have your material uploaded and/or mailed in to our East Liberty Main Office, please contact our office at <a href="tel:(412) 214-5000" target="_blank"><u>(412) 214-5000</u></a> to make alternative arrangements.</p><p>Upon successful submission you will receive email confirmation of your application. If you are selected for nomination, you will be notified in&nbsp;<strong>January&nbsp;2026.</strong></p><p>The congressional nomination process is very competitive and one that the Service Academy Selection Panel and Congresswoman Lee takes very seriously. Please understand that if you do not receive a nomination from my office, it does not necessarily mean you do not meet academy standards. Rather, it likely reflects the high caliber of candidates who applied for a very limited number of nominations.</p><p><strong>All nominations will be submitted by January 31, 2026.</strong></p></div> <div class="webform__webform"><form class="webform-submission-form webform-submission-add-form webform-submission-webform-224-form webform-submission-webform-224-add-form webform-submission-webform-224-node-54-form webform-submission-webform-224-node-54-add-form js-webform-unsaved js-webform-disable-autosubmit js-webform-details-toggle webform-details-toggle" data-drupal-selector="webform-submission-webform-224-node-54-add-form" action="http://summerlee.house.gov/rss.xml" method="post" id="webform-submission-webform-224-node-54-add-form" accept-charset="UTF-8"> <div class="webform-wizard-pages-links js-webform-wizard-pages-links js-form-wrapper form-wrapper" data-wizard-progress-link="true" data-drupal-selector="edit-pages" id="edit-pages--2"></div> <div class="webform-progress"> <ul class="webform-progress-tracker progress-tracker progress-tracker--center" data-webform-progress-steps> <li data-webform-page="page_1" title="Page 1" class="progress-step is-active"> <span class="progress-marker" aria-hidden="true" data-webform-progress-step data-webform-progress-link data-text="1"></span> <span class="progress-text"> <span class="progress-title" data-webform-progress-link> <span class="visually-hidden" data-webform-progress-state>Current</span> Page 1 </span> </span> </li> <li data-webform-page="page_2" title="Page 2" class="progress-step"> <span class="progress-marker" aria-hidden="true" data-webform-progress-step data-webform-progress-link data-text="2"></span> <span class="progress-text"> <span class="progress-title" data-webform-progress-link> <span class="visually-hidden" data-webform-progress-st
