Mr. SULLIVAN submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 5, to require the Secretary of Homeland Security to take into custody aliens who have been charged in the United States with theft, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place, insert the following: SEC. _____. HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREAS PROGRAM. Section 707(p) of the Office of National Drug Control Policy Reauthorization Act of 1998 (21 U.S.C. 1706(p)) is amended-- (1) in paragraph (5), by striking ``and'' at the end; (2) in paragraph (6), by striking the period at the end and inserting ``; and''; and (3) by adding at the end the following: ``(7) $300,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2025 through 2029.''. ____________________
