GILBERT, III ______ HON. FREDERICA S. WILSON of florida in the house of representatives Thursday, March 12, 2026 Ms. WILSON of Florida. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to honor Oliver G. Gilbert, III for his philanthropy and dedication to at-risk youth. On behalf of the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project, I present this Congressional Award in recognition of Mr. Gilbert's exemplary leadership and commitment to Miami-Dade County. Each year, we acknowledge distinguished Role Model Mentors, and it is my pleasure to congratulate Mr. Gilbert as he joins this esteemed group. His contributions as a Miami-Dade Commissioner have had a profound impact on our community. Mr. Gilbert's advocacy for youth welfare exemplifies the core values we seek to instill in the young men we serve. His dedication to educational opportunities, equity, and community upliftment has inspired many to pursue excellence. We formally recognize Mr. Gilbert as an Honoree of the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project. His work not only fosters empowerment but also emphasizes the importance of leadership with integrity and compassion. Mr. Gilbert's initiatives resonate with our mission by supporting young men of color to achieve their potential.
