CONGRATULATING RIDGE VIEW HIGH SCHOOL

JOE WILSON of south carolina in the house of representatives Thursday, March 12, 2026 Mr. WILSON of South Carolina. Mr. Speaker, I am grateful to recognize Columbia's Ridge View High School boys' basketball team, ``The Blazers,'' as they defeated Ashley Ridge High School in the 2026 Class 5A Division I South Carolina High School League (SCHSL) Basketball State Championship. This marks their seventh state championship in the past 9 years. On March 6, 2026, the Blazers won the game 65-44, bringing their final record to 27 wins and 3 losses. The Ridge View High basketball team includes players Talan Stanley, Jourdin Mack, Robert Wylie, RJ Davis, CJ Moore, Brayden Mack, Noah Sanders, Khabir McLawhorn, Gregory Williams, Joshua Vankallen, Kaleb Peters, Christopher Horton, and James Ross. Alongside the players are their talented coaches, Joshua Staley, Devonte Coulter, Reginald Murray, Kenneth Hunter, Christan Savage, David Smith, Chris Johnson, and Rion Davis. On behalf of all South Carolina, I congratulate the Ridge View High Blazers on this impressive achievement and wish them the best of luck as they defend their title in the upcoming season. These victories are well-deserved for the teams, coaches, families, and community for all their hard work and support, making their dream come true. ____________________
