Ms. MURKOWSKI submitted an amendment intended to be proposed to amendment SA 4420 proposed by Mr. Thune (for Mr. Schmitt) to the bill S. 1383, to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee on Equal Access, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: At the appropriate place in title I, insert the following: SEC. __. GRANTS TO PROVIDE VOTER REGISTRATION SERVICES TO COMMUNITIES THAT ARE NOT CONNECTED BY ROAD TO A STATE ELECTION OFFICE. (a) In General.--The Election Assistance Commission shall make grants to States to provide voter registration services to communities that are not connected by road to a State election office. (b) Authorization.--There are authorized to be appropriated for grants under this section such sums as are necessary for fiscal year 2027 and subsequent years. ______
