For more information, please review the page of <a href="//cisneros.house.gov/services/military-academy-nominations/military-academy-nominations-faq" target="_blank">Frequently Asked Questions for those seeking a Military Academy Nomination</a>.</p><p>Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), New London, CT, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment.</p><p>Congressman Cisneros may nominate up to ten individuals for each vacant academy slot allotted to the&nbsp;district. Teachers should complete the forms, seal in envelopes, and return the forms to the student OR mail to 100 S Citrus Ave, Ste 204 Covina, CA 91723 Attn: Service Academy Coordinator. The forms must arrive with the application package. Separate letters of recommendation are&nbsp;<u>NOT</u>&nbsp;required.</span></li><li><span>One Non Academic Recommendation. Recommender cannot be a family member. They should be a coach, volunteer leader, family friend, or even a veteran. Recommender should complete the form, seal them in an envelope, and return the form to student or mail to our office address: 100 S Citrus Ave, Ste 204 Covina, CA 91723 Attn: Service Academy Coordinator</span></li><li><span>Candidate Fitness Assessment scores.</span></li><li><span>Interview Request Form.</span></li><li><span>Official High School Transcripts. The transcripts must arrive with the application in a&nbsp;<u>SEALED</u>&nbsp;envelope. Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.</span></li><li><span>Official SAT and/or ACT scores.
