PATSY GEIGER ______ HON. GUS M. BILIRAKIS of florida in the house of representatives Thursday, March 26, 2026 Mr. BILIRAKIS. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to recognize one of my outstanding constituents, Ms. Patsy Geiger, a dedicated volunteer whose energy, warmth, and unwavering commitment have made a remarkable impact through Seniors in Service AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Pasco. At 83 years old, Patsy brings vitality, compassion, and a tireless work ethic to every role she undertakes. Since joining Seniors in Service in 2022, she has become a steady and trusted presence both at the One Stop Shop Food Pantry in Dade City and throughout our volunteer community. Week after week, she checks in clients and welcomes each person with a genuine smile, ensuring that visitors facing challenging circumstances feel seen, respected, and cared for. Her kindness transforms the atmosphere of the pantry, leaving clients with more than just food-- they leave with dignity and hope. What makes Patsy especially remarkable is her steadfast dedication, even while managing her own health challenges. During busy months, she contributes over 60 volunteer hours--a remarkable commitment at any age, and truly extraordinary for someone over 80. Patsy shows up not because it is easy, but because she believes in serving others. Beyond her regular shifts, she actively participates in Seniors in Service events, supports broader community initiatives, and recently stepped into a leadership role as an RSVP Ambassador. In this role, Patsy exemplifies the natural leadership, consistency, and encouragement that her fellow volunteers admire. True to her adventurous spirit, Patsy is a self-described daredevil who has skydived over 500 times--proof that she has never been afraid to jump in and give life her all. That same fearless energy defines her volunteer service, inspiring everyone around her and leavIng a lasting impact on the community she serves. For her dedication, compassion, and remarkable example, I am proud to recognize Ms. Patsy Geiger as a 2026 Hero Among Us.
