Mr. COONS submitted an amendment intended to be proposed by him to the bill S. 1383, to establish the Veterans Advisory Committee on Equal Access, and for other purposes; which was ordered to lie on the table; as follows: On page 25, line 3, strike ``(r)'' and insert the following: (r) Exemption From Passport Fees.--Section 1(a)(2) of the Passport Act of June 4, 1920 (22 U.S.C. 214(a)(2)) is amended-- (1) in subparagraph (E)(ii), by striking the period at the end and inserting ``; or''; and (2) by adding at the end the following: ``(F) any person who is applying for or renewing a passport on or after the date of the enactment of the SAVE America Act in order to present documentary proof of United States citizenship pursuant to section 4(b) or 6(e) of the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (52 U.S.C. 20503(b) and 20505(e)).''.
