Mr. Speaker, I ask unanimous consent to take from the Speaker's table the bill (S. 4138) to waive the 60-day notice requirement for the posthumous honorary promotion of Captain Cody Khork, United States Army and ask for its immediate consideration in the House. The Clerk read the title of the bill. The SPEAKER pro tempore (Mr. Jack). Is there objection to the request of the gentleman from Alabama? There was no objection. The text of the bill is as follows: [[Page H2607]] S. 4138 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. WAIVER OF 60-DAY NOTICE REQUIREMENT FOR THE POSTHUMOUS HONORARY PROMOTION OF CAPTAIN CODY KHORK, UNITED STATES ARMY. The 60-day notice requirement under section 1563a(b) of title 10, United States Code, is hereby waived for the purpose of the posthumous honorary promotion of Captain Cody Khork, United States Army, to the rank of major. The bill was ordered to be read a third time, was read the third time, and passed, and a motion to reconsider was laid on the table. ____________________
