KEEP OUR YOUNG PEOPLE OUT OF HARM'S WAY

Congressional Record, Volume 172 Issue 41 (Wednesday, March 4, 2026) [Congressional Record Volume 172, Number 41 (Wednesday, March 4, 2026)] [House] [Page H2379] From the Congressional Record Online through the Government Publishing Office [ www.gpo.gov ] KEEP OUR YOUNG PEOPLE OUT OF HARM'S WAY (Mr. GREEN of Texas asked and was given permission to address the House for 1 minute and to revise and extend his remarks.) Mr. GREEN of Texas. Mr. Speaker, and still I rise. Mr. Speaker, I rise today to indicate that I attended the classified briefing yesterday. General Caine was there. The Secretary of State was there. The Secretary of War was there. I stayed from start to finish. Mr. Speaker, after hearing from them, I have concluded that there was not--N-O-T--an imminent threat to this country, to my country, the country that I love. I also concluded something else: that we should not put our young people in harm's way such that they are losing their lives, when the President knew or should have known that there was no imminent threat. I will vote for the resolution. I believe it is an appropriate resolution, and I trust that it will pass. Of course, this is the Massie-Khanna resolution that I speak of. ____________________
